About Rättvik

Rättvik is a wonderful sommer town, in traditional rural Dalarna district. From the premises of Tango Retiros you have a beautiful view over lake Siljan and Rättvik town. Within walking distance you will find:

• A long beach in the middle of the town
• A large camping site
• Rättviks church with the memorial monument over 16th century king Gustav Vasa who rebelled against the Danish king who had invaded Sweden.
• Many nice sites near by:
  • Tällberg, ca 8km
  • Vidablick, ca 5Km, a tower with an amazing view over lake Siljan
  • The Zorn museum, arond famed artist Anders Zorn, Mora, 40 km
  • The world heritage mining museum in Falun, 40km, where there has been mining for 1200 years!
  • Within 40Km: Mora, Falun, Leksand, Insjön, and a number of beautiful villages around lake Siljan

• Rättvik dansar och spelar; folklore festival
• Dalhalla, ca 10Km. International event arena in a mine pit!
• Classic Car Week. Large event with historical cars, crome and wheels of all types

 

Traditional "Church boats" which where used to take the villagers to church on summer sundays.
